Robert Ward moved into Day Spring Community Living Men’s Home from Northern Kentucky this past Summer and he has proven himself to be quite a fun and active guy. “Robert is always telling me how happy he is, and I’m glad to hear it,” said Gene Coffman, House Manager.
Robert attends Harbor House’s day program during the week and when he is not there, he stays busy with his many hobbies. He is a big UK sports fan and loves to dance to old country music. His favorite artists are Kenny Rogers, Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson. “You never know when he is going to break out into a dance,” laughed Gene.
Robert is also an avid biker. He rides his bike around the Men’s Home on a regular basis and this has been a great way for him to get to know his neighbors and friends that live around him.
“If Robert could do anything he wanted, it would be riding horses. He loves to ride and we go to a place that is unfortunately an hour away. So, we don’t get to go as often as we’d like. Robert’s move was a big transition and we are happy seeing him in his new home. Plus, he is now closer to me so of course that is wonderful,” said Lori English, Robert’s sister.
